I will dominate 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming bout.

Former twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest financial successes, regularly earning substantial earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the customary face-off, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
