Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's 21 championships have been achieved on hard courts

A resurgent Medvedev secured his initial championship for over two years with success over Frenchman Moutet in the competition final.

The athlete, a ex- world number one, has endured a torrid season, achieving just a single victory at the Grand Slams and experiencing a setback at the New York tournament.

The player's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his service game in especial - led to him falling of the elite rankings and finally parting ways with long-term mentor his previous coach.

Presently collaborating with Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually progressed in the last few weeks - climaxing in a closely contested competitive triumph over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.

This represents his initial title following the Italian tournament and initial on a hard court after spring of 2023.

Success also means he has won 21 titles at 21 various tournaments.

"For the first time I'm at a competition with my children at once, so to secure a title is really nice," stated world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.

"This victory is in tribute of my younger daughter her name, because the initial championship I got when my first daughter Alisa was delivered was for her."

The tennis star, the past champion, had lost his previous six finals, including in Halle previously this season.

The player's retrieving strategy and recurring outbursts on the playing surface had prompted some to doubt if his capacity to compete at the top level was over.

Yet the player has made changes in recent weeks, striving to come to the net and play assertively, backed up by an enhanced serve.

He fought back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the difficult Moutet, taking four of the last five points to take the lead.

The competitors swapped service breaks in the second set before Moutet, bidding for his first ATP Tour title, gained dominance to create a final set.

The opponent rescued four initial break points in a close third set before the champion won the break to fifteen to close out the victory.

Appropriately, the winner earned victory with a shot at the net, with Moutet unable to handle a shot after over two and a half hours.
